14 injured with pellets, two in eyes during protests against Kathua rape-murder in Shopian

At least fourteen protesters were injured with pellets, among whom two were hit in the eye, fired by police at them in south Kashmir’s Shopian district today.

A protest was going on against the rape-and-murder of 8-year-old Muslim minor in Kathua in January.

Reports said the clashes broke out near Jamia Masjid main town Shopian between forces and students coming out from various coaching centres.

Two students received pellet injuries in eyes and were referred from SDH Shopian to Srinagar, reports added.
