Pakistan Army said two of its soldiers were killed Wednesday when Indian forces opened “unprovoked fire” across the Line of Control (LoC).
“The latest incident of unprovoked firing occurred in the Bhimber sector of the LoC,” said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, in a statement, according to reports.
It identified the dead soldiers as Sipahi Munir Chauhan and Sipahi Amir Hussain.
“Pakistan Army troops befittingly responded to Indian unprovoked firing. There are reports of substantial damage to Indian posts,” the statement said.
