Fifty-one Muslims on Friday cracked India’s prestigious Civil Services Examinations among whom five made it to the top 100. In the list of 990 successful candidates, Saad Miya Khan is the top ranker among Muslims who stands at number 25.
Two Muslim women — Jameel Fahima Zeba (62ndrank) and Haseen Zahera Rizvi (87th rank)— also figure in the list.
The examination was conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and its results were announced Friday evening.
A total of 990 candidates (750 men and 240 women) have been recommended by the Commission for appointment to various Services including IAS, IPS and IFS.
Among the successful, 476 are from General category, 275 OBC, 165 Scheduled Castes and 74 from Scheduled Tribes.
