Muzaffarabad: Eight newly inducted ministers in the cabinet of Pakistan-administered Kashmir who took oath of their offices on Thursday have been allocated portfolios on Monday.
According to a notification issued by Services & General Administration Department; Raja Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Khan has been assigned the portfolio of Auqaf and Religious Affairs; Raja Muhammad Naseer Khan, Local Government and Rural Development.
Chaudhry Javed Akhtar, Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights; Chaudhry Masood Khalid has been handed, Civil Defence. Yaseen Gulshan has been made minister for Zakat & Ushur.
Ahmed Raza Qadari has been given the portfolio of State Disaster Management Authority, while Muhammad Ishaq has been assigned the ministry of prisoners. Waqar Ahmed Noor has been given the ministry of Planning and Development. Farooq Sikandar Khan, who is already serving as Revenue Minister, has been given additional charge of population welfare department.
Sources said that some of the newly inducted ministers are not happy with the allotted portfolios and will take up the matter with Prime Minister on his return from the United Kingdom where he has gone to attend an “anti-India rally”.
