Amnesty International India will release a report on the “impact of pellet-firing shotguns on people’s lives in Kashmir.”
Titled “Losing Sight in Kashmir: Impact of pellet-firing shotguns”, the report will be released at a Srinagar hotel on Wednesday, the human rights group said in a statement.
The report documents 88 cases in which victims’ vision has been impacted after being hit by pellets, the statement said.
The report release will be followed by a panel discussion on the issue. Spokespersons from Amnesty International India including Aakar Patel, Executive Director, AI India, and some of the victims will be available at the event to give interviews and respond to media queries.
