ACT to hold film festival in Kashmir

Srinagar, June 30

ACT, a Valley-based organisation working in the field of art, culture and literature is set to host a film festival in Kashmir in the first week of July, a statement issued by the organisation today said.

The statement also said that it is a first-of-its-kind initiative in the Valley which is scheduled from July 1 to July 5.

The venue is Srinagar’s SKICC, where a large gathering of people belonging to the field of art and film is expected, the statement said.

“The festival will screen more than sixty movies and documentaries mostly by the Kashmiri filmmakers. Some films from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) will also be screened in the festival”, the statement said.
