Srinagar: Militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen (Hizb) said that the two bank security guards who died in a militant attack in Pombay area of south Kashmir Kulgam district on Monday were killed by paramilitary forces.
Burhanuddin, Operational Spokesperson of Hizb, told local news agency CNS that militants didn’t kill the two bank security guards but “they were shot dead by CRPF personnel who were accompanying them”.
“We didn’t attack the vehicle with intent to loot the cash. We have enough cash. We condemn the killing of two bank employees and want to clarify that they were shot dead by CRPF personnel and not by militants,” Burhanuddin was quoted by the news agency as saying, adding that militants can never target innocent Kashmiris.
