Educational institutions closed in Srinagar following militant killing

Srinagar: Educational institutions including schools and colleges in Srinagar will remain closed today following a local militant’s killing in Anantnag district along with his two associates.

Kashmir University has also suspended its class work today.

Police on Monday claimed to have killed three militants in an overnight gunfight at Hakoora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The three slain militants were identified as Mohammad Eesa Fazli alias Eesa Ruhulla of Soura, Srinagar, Syed Owais Shafi of Violoo, Kokernag and Sabzar Ahmad Sofi of Naina, Sangam, Anantnag.
