Haryana: Former Army man ‘kills six people in two hours,’ arrested

A former Army man was arrested on Tuesday for killing six people in a span of two hours in Haryana’s Palwal district, police said.

The accused, identified as Naresh, was commissioned to Indian Army as Lieutenant in 2003, but took voluntary retirement on medical grounds three years later, The Hindu reported.

He was presently posted as an officer in Haryana’s Agriculture Department.

Naresh allegedly used an iron rod to attack his victims on Monday night.

The crimes took place within 100 metres from a police station and were captured on a CCTV camera which led to his arrest, news agency IANS reported.

The victims included a woman and three watchmen. The cause of the crime was yet to be ascertained.

In the video, the accused was seen armed with the rod and moving around.

The accused, who also received injuries, also tried to attack the policemen when they tried to arrest him
