Heartbreak for India as Pakistan convert penalty corner to draw hockey match

Pakistan managed to draw hockey match against arch-rivals India 2-2  in the final seconds on Saturday in the opening match of the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.  

Pakistan pulled off the draw on the penalty corner after Dilpreet Singh scored in the first quarter while Harmanpreet Singh converted a penalty corner in the second to give Indian men’s hockey team a 2-0 lead.

Pakistan won two penalty corners in the final 7 seconds.

“India would have lost by a big margin had it not been for Sreejesh’s outstanding goalkeeping. He saved at least 5 to 6 shots on target from Pakistan throughout the match,” a media report said.
