Srinagar: Father of a young slain militant in Kashmir took to Facebook to announce his son’s funeral prayers in Srinagar today.
Naeem Fazili, the father of slain militant Mohammad Eesa Fazili who was killed by government forces in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday evening, wrote on his Facebook:
It is for the information of all nears and dears that Nimaaz-e-Jinaaza of my son Mohammad Eisa Fazili who left for heavenly abode today will be held at 3:00pm sharp near his residence at Sharjah Ground, 90 Feet Road, Ahmednagar, Srinagar.
Earlier, another Facebook post was attributed to Eesa’s father wherein he had announced his death. However, the post couldn’t be found on his timeline.
In September 2017, Fazili also used Facebook asking his son to return after he had joined the militant ranks in August.
It is noteworthy to say that Eesa’s family hasn’t seen his face since he left his home last August. They had pleaded a number of times to return home through social media, but Eesa didn’t return.
Eesa was pursuing engineering at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) in Rajouri when he left his home.
Pertinently, Eesa had also appeared on social media, spelling out his reasons for joining the militant ranks.
