Kashmir: Militants give slip to Army in Handwara

Srinagar: Two militants, who were believed to be trapped at an encounter site in Pohru area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, gave a slip to the Army and fled from the area, police sources said.

“The Army has called off the operation as the two militants are believed to have escaped from the area,” the source said.

The encounter started in the wee hours of Monday morning between 30RR Indian Army and two militants, the source said earlier.
