‘He has been killed in firing by militants’: SP Kulgam on govt employee’s killing

Kulgam: Superintendent of police Kulgam district in south Kashmir Shridhar Patil said on Saturday that the government employee Asadullah Kumar, whose naked body was found lying in a village in Kulgam on Friday evening, was “killed in firing by militants”.

Patil replied to a WhatsApp message from Kashmir Narrator regarding the “mysterious killing” of the government employee.

When asked, “People are saying that the fisheries department is littered with blood and there are visible torture marks on the government employee’s body,” Patil crisply replied, “He has been killed in firing by militant(s).”

However, he didn’t reply to another question that the whole area was cordoned off by the forces, according to locals, and how did the militants manage to escape from the spot.
