Militants snatch 2 rifles from cops guarding political leader in south Kashmir

Militants on Saturday night snatched two rifles from policemen guarding a political leader affiliated with Awami National Conference in Ashajipora village of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Reports said that the militants snatched the rifles (AK-47 and Insas) from the personal security officers of Advocate Gowhar when he was visiting a relative’s home in Dabruna village of the district.

The duo have been detained by the authorities for questioning, reports said.

Gowhar is a resident of Aasnoor Watoo village of adjoining Kulgam district.
