Three soldiers were killed in “unprovoked” firing by Indian troops along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistan Army’s media wing said on Monday.
Another soldier was injured in the “unprovoked incident of firing by Indian troops in the Rakhchikri sector of the LoC,” Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The Line of Control that divides Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed intermittent skirmishes this year causing civilian and military casualties, with both India and Pakistan blaming each other for violating a ceasefire signed in early 2000s.
On Saturday, India had said a major and three soldiers were killed and another injured in “unprovoked firing” by Pakistan army along the LoC in Keri sector of Jammu’s Rajouri district.
