Pampore youth’s bullet-ridden body found in Pulwama

Srinagar: A bullet-ridden body of a youth was recovered in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district today morning.

The body of the youth who was identified as Mohammad Shafi Sofi (23), son of Ghulam Hyder Sofi, a resident of Samboora, Pampore, was found by the locals in Pulwama’s Ratnipora village.

The police recovered the body soon after information that the youth was lying in a pool of blood at Ratnipora with body tied in ropes and identity card on his body, a news agency quoted police as saying.

SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam Choudary confirmed the recovery of the youth’s dead body from the said area.

“The youth had bullets in his legs. A police team has reached the spot and has taken up the investigations,” Choudary said.
