Family members of a Kashmiri businessman arrested in Delhi on January 12 staged another protest in Srinagar on Satursday, reiterating that he was innocent and being implicated in a false case.
Businessman Bilal Ahmad Kawa was arrested from the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on January 12 by Delhi Police and the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad for alleged involvement in a 2000 attack on the Red Fort.
The Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday told a local court that they did had not received any notice or summons in the past 17 years that had to be served to Bilal Ahmad Kawa.
The government on Wednesday informed the Legislative Assembly that the details regarding arrest of Bilal Ahmad Kawa are being collected. (Pictures by Zargar Zahoor)
