Police lobbed teargas shells at women protesting against a braid-chopping incident in Batamaloo area of Srinagar. Masked men cut off the braid of a 35-year old woman at her residence in Firdous Abad, Batamaloo, on Sunday morning, when her husband was out to buy bread. The attackers also made off with some jewelry, the woman’s husband had told Kashmir Narrator.  Panic has gripped the Kashmir valley following a spate of  braid-chopping incidents across the Valley during the last month . Police, however, has not been able to arrest a single culprit despite announcing reward money, helplines and probe teams to crack the case. ( Pictures by Faisal Khan)
