Police on Friday assured action against a senior cop who was caught on video threatening a doctor at the Trauma and Emergency Hospital Qazigund.
“In reference to the Qazigund incident, we regret it and at the same time assure that necessary action shall be taken into the matter,” a police spokesman said.
“Officer allegedly involved in the incident has been directed to report to the DIG office SKR for an enquiry.”
On Thursday, a video showing a police officer threatening a police officer had gone viral on social media websites, especially Facebook.
“Talk to me courteously. I will drag you out ….I will see you tonight,” the police officer was seen telling the doctor in the video. Reports quoting the doctor said that the officer was seeking medical opinion in connection with an accident case.
“A few police constables approached me yesterday also and this (Thursday) morning and I told them to bring all the documents for the opinion,” he was quoted as saying. “The police officer came and used rude language. He threatened me of implicating in false case and said that ‘I will see you tonight’,” the doctor said
