Resistance leaders meet to discuss future strategy

Srinagar: The three top leaders of the pro-freedom camp who spearhead the present uprising met for the first time during past four months at the Hurriyat (G) Hyderpora headquarters today. Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik held a meeting that lasted for 3 hours during which all issues including the conduct of examinations and future strategy for the resistance struggle was discussed at length, sources privy to the development said. The government for the first time allowed the trio to hold a joint meeting.
The trio also decided to call a joint meeting on Tuesday with the stakeholders including traders, transporters, members of the civil society, educationists and others to discuss the future strategy of the resistance struggle.
