Stone-pelting doesn’t suit students, concentrate on your studies: IGP to students

Srinagar: On his very first day in the office, Inspector General Police (IGP) Munir Khan said appealed to the students “to concentrate on your education” as “without education, no one can excel in his life”, local news agency KNS reported on Wednesday.

“I appeal to the students to concentrate on studies and academics. Without education, no one can excel in his life. Be it a sportsman or any other working person,” Khan was quoted by the report as saying.

The IGP said that the students should approach the appropriate forum to get their grievances redressed.

“Stone pelting and taking to streets does not suit students who are the future of our society,” he was quoted as saying, adding that he will try his best to restore peace in the Valley.
