Chinese troops tried to cross the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday , leading to a brief scuffle with Indian troops.
Reports said Chinese soldiers tried to enter the territory along the banks of Pangong lake twice between 6 am and 9 am but were thwarted by Indian troops.
Personnel from both sides received minor injuries in the ensuing stone-pelting and the situation was brought under control after the customary banner drill under which both sides hold banners before stepping back to their respective positions.
The latest incident comes in the wake of a stand-off between Indian and Chinese troops along the border in Sikkim.
A ceremonial Border Personnel Meeting on the Indian Independence Day was also not held this time as the Chinese side did not respond to a communication from the Indian side.
