Srinagar: Pro-freedom leader and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik visited Tral on Monday morning to show solidarity with Burhan Wani’s family. Malik also visited the families of those who were killed by the government forces during this uprising, reports said.

“Yasin met Muzaffar Wani (Burhan’s father) and other families of those who were martyred in the present uprising,” a local said.

Malik left from his Maisuma residence after midnight and reached South Kashmir at dawn, reports added.

Malik was detained on July 8, the day when Burhan Wani was killed in an encounter in Kokernag area of Anantnag district.

He was later shifted to central jail Srinagar from where he was released 29 Oct.
