Yasin Malik pays tributes to Nadeem Khateeb

Pro-freedom leader and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Wednesday paid rich tributes to Nadeem Khateeb, a flight instructor in a Georgia school, USA, who was killed by Indian forces in February 1999 in Udhampur.

He said “the sacrifices of martyrs like Pilot Nadeem Khateeb and others symbolise the sanctity and authority of our freedom struggle”.

“We salute a man who was leading a well settled life in USA and sacrificed his life for the sacred cause and wrote an inerasable page of valour, dignity and struggle,” Malik said, adding that he was “a great son of soil who left lavishness of life for Deen I Mubeen strived for the freedom of his nation and sacrificed his life for the same cause”.

Khateeb was a close friend of Ashfaq Majeed, a commander of the resistance group Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front which challenged Indian rule.
