19 CRPF men injured in road accident in Srinagar

At least 19 paramilitary CRPF men were injured after a vehicle in which they were travelling in skidded off the road near Bemina area Srinagar city on Sunday morning.

Reports said that the vehicle of 28 bn CRPF was on way to convoy ground when it turned turtle resulting in injuries to 19 troopers.

IG CRPF Ravideep Sahai said that the mishap took place after some “miscreants pelted stones” on the vehicle.

“19 troopers suffered injuries in the incident. All the injured have been hospitalised. Nine among the injured where shifted to army’s 92 Base hospital Badamibagh for treatment where the condition of a trooper is stated to be critical,” IG added.
