Muzaffarabad: At least seven people were killed and 12 others injured on Tuesday in two separate road accidents in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, police said.
Five persons, including four women, died when a Garhi Dupatta bound car slipped into a ditch at Hariala Gujran while negotiating a sharp curve, a police official said.
Scores of people rushed to the accident site and retrieved dead bodies and an injured from the wreckage of the car despite heavy rain in the area. It is learnt that all the dead and injured were belonged to a family.
In another road mishap, two persons died and 11 others were wounded when a Muzaffarabad bound coaster collided with a passenger bus at Patika Bazar.
According to eyewitnesses and police, the accident took place due to the brake failure of one of the vehicles. The local civil administration of Patika and Pak Army personnel rushed to the site and transported the injured to the local hospital.
