Srinagar: Clashes erupted between protestors and police in Batamaloo area of Srinagar post-Friday prayers, with police resorting to heavy tear-gas shelling.

The clashes erupted in main Bazar Batamaloo after youth took out pro-freedom processions in accordance with weekly protest programme of the joint resistance leadership.
