Incarcerated DeM chief denied hospitalisation despite doctors’ advise

Srinagar: Incarcerated Dukhtar-e-Millat (DeM) chairperson Aasiyeh Andrabi was denied hospitalisation on Friday despite doctors’ advice. A DeM member said that Andrabi complained of chest pain in Rambagh Women’s police station, where she is detained with her close aide Fahmeda Sofi, after which she was taken to Chest Disease hospital, Dalgate.

Seeing her worsening condition, the doctors advised for hospitalisation, which was denied by the police accompanying her, the DeM member alleged, adding that police took her back to the police station with an Oxygen cylinder.

Andrabi and Sofi were detained last month from her Soura residence.
