FETO organises medical camp in Batamaloo

Srinagar: Firdous Educational Trust for Orphans (FETO), a local educational trust, has organised today a free medical camp at Lane 15, Firdous Abad, Batamaloo after Friday prayers. 

Dr Manzoor Ahmad, Dr Shafeeq Bakshi and Dr Sajad Mir will be available at the camp for free check-up of the locals and will distribute free medicines among them.

“FETO was established in 1994 as an Educational Trust in Batamaloo, Srinagar. The main aim of the Trust is to provide quality education to the under-privileged children on modern lines. FETO stresses on regular schooling, proper academic curriculum and sports as a means to develop the personality of these children. The Idea is to ensure that no child of the locality is deprived of education,” Muhammad Saleem Wani, general secretary FETO, said.

The Trust also houses a number of orphans at its orphanage Dar-ul-Manam, Firdous Abad, Batamaloo. Besides, the Trust also runs a blood bank in the area.

“By the grace of Allah, our children are making good progress in educational field. We are pleased to inform our well wishers that recently one of our children in Dar-ul-Manam got selected in an engineering college,” Wani said.

The Trust also provides monthly ration to many households under their Widow Welfare Programme, Wani added.
