
Srinagar: Government forces stopped an ambulance in Pulwama bearing number JK 22A 1092 which was ferrying pellet-hit injured youth from Shopian to Srinagar, delaying reaching to the hospital by one-and-half hour.
Bashir Ahmad, the driver of the said ambulance, told Kashmir Narrator that his ambulance was stopped at Bandzu bridge in Pulwama by the Army and SOG of the police.
“They were enquiring about the injured for around one-and-a-half hour. By now we should have been at the hospital. This time, we are in Galanadar area and are heading fast towards SMHS hospital,” said Bashir.
Greater Kashmir reported that at least ten youth were hit by pellets in the eyes and were shifted to SMHS hospital.
Clashes erupted in Shopian’s Kachdoora and Draggad villages after forces killed eleven militants in twin gunfights. The identity of the slain militants is yet to be confirmed.
In another gunfight in Dialgam village of Anantnag, a militant, identified as Rouf Bashir Khanday, was killed while his associate was caught alive, police said.
