Authorities placed restrictions in several parts of Srinagar today to thwart protests against recent killings by government forces in south Kashmir.

Joint Resistance Leadership comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had called for protests against the killings after Friday prayers.

The authorities have also locked up the Grand Mosque in old Srinagar.
