
Punjab Police and the Army launched a joint search operation in Punjab’s Pathankot and Gurdaspur, after movement of two suspicious persons in Army fatigues with weapons was spotted near the Bamiyal on Sunday night, reports said.
Pathankot and Gurdaspur — the districts, which share international border with Pakistan were put on high alter after a local resident, Maskin Ali informed the police about the suspects, who he had given lift in his car.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Pathankot, Vivek Soni, told The Hindu that joint search operation is being carried in the region since late last night after the complainant informed the police about the suspects.
