
The Jammu and Kashmir police have filed a chargesheet against militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and eight others in the attack on Amarnath yatra pilgrims in July 2017 that left eight people dead.
“The police have filed a chargesheet against LeT and 8 accused in Amaranth Yatra bus attack that took place in July last year,” media reports quoting officials said on Monday.
Eight pilgrims were killed and 13 others injured in the attack on a bus carrying yatrison July 10, 2017 in Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Two months later, forces killed top LeT commander Abu Ismail, who police claimed had carried out the attack along with another militant in Nowgam area on the outskirts of Srinagar city.
