Srinagar: UDAAN, a centrally funded skill enhancement scheme for J&K youth implemented by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), is planning to hold a mega drive at Kashmir University tomorrow, a statement issued to the press said.
The drive is a part of a two-day program organized at the onset of UDAAN phase 2, the statement added.
Pertinently, an event was organized today, October 30, at the SKICC, Srinagar, the statement said.
“The proposal envisages a two-day mega drive in Srinagar. The event, held at SKICC Srinagar, had invitees from the MHA, corporates and state dignitaries”, the statement said.
The statement further said that principals of some colleges/universities from Srinagar and adjoining districts were also invited for the event.
“Successful candidates from the last phase of UDAAN shared their success stories and journey that gave the necessary impetus for local mobilization,” the statement added.
“The event had sessions with some of the guests including the candidates and dignitaries. To add some regional color to the 4-5 hours engagement, some cultural flavor with the help of performances by local singing stars was also part of the event,” the statement said.
